I am running my first 10k next Sunday.  I am so nervous.  I set a goal to be under a specific time and now I am stressed out that I am not going to make it.  I know it is silly.  I know I should just be proud I am doing it but…. I just want to do well.  It’s only my second race ever.  Why do I drive myself crazy?

On Sunday we packed the kids in the car and went to get ready for a long day in the car.  As soon as we pulled out of the garage I realized I didn’t have my wallet.  After searching the house frantically while the kids were getting extremely cranky, I came up empty handed.  Grrrr.  We got on the road and it was amazing.  We drove through Manning Park and the mountains and rivers were breathtaking. keep reading

I like to be right.  Ok let’s be honest I usually am right.  Like almost always 99.9% of the time and the other .01% of the time I wasn’t paying attention to the question.  I will do often things to prove others (especially Soon-to-be) wrong.  Not like “Oh hey you can’t jump off that bridge” and I do it just to prove them wrong cause jumping off a bridge is insane.  Even if you are tied to the bridge by a giant cord.  Just like jumping out of a plane is crazy.  The plane would have to be crashing, on fire and filled with bats and scorpions for me to jump out of it.  I hate bats and scorpions!!!  EEEwwww.  Soon-to-be has jumped off a bridge and out of a plane.  But he needs to be crazy to be with me –keep reading
