I am sitting here writing this while avoiding housework like the plague.  Today I was suppose to clean the oven, the kitchen, vacuum and clean out the fridge.  Instead, I made homemade buns for dinner, talked on the phone, wrote a post, made french toast and went to the mall with the kids.  That totally makes it ok, right?

Here is something you probably didn’t know about me.  I didn’t have my licence.  As a teenager I never was taught and as an adult I never made it a priority.  I always lived near downtown or near public transit so I never worried about it.  Then we moved and had 2 kids.  Little Miss starts preschool in September so I needed to get it otherwise it was going to be a ridiculously huge ordeal getting her to school.

The Olympics have started!!!  Did you watch the opening ceremony?  I totally got sucked in.  I had all these plans to clean my dishwasher and dust, but then I sat down and I was totally hooked.  I mean Daniel Craig and the Queen,  David Beckham and J.K. Rowling, cleaning my dishwasher went WAY down on my things to do list.

On Sunday we packed the kids in the car and went to get ready for a long day in the car.  As soon as we pulled out of the garage I realized I didn’t have my wallet.  After searching the house frantically while the kids were getting extremely cranky, I came up empty handed.  Grrrr.  We got on the road and it was amazing.  We drove through Manning Park and the mountains and rivers were breathtaking. keep reading
