Oven Adventures

So I was wondering through Costco the other night and noticed these jars that I hadn’t seen before. I walked past them twice then finally stopped to actually read what it said. “Cookinotti – Made with crushed caramelized butter cookies” ahhh ok. Then the magic words, the words I have been dying to read for what feels like forever “Speculoos Spread”. Jackpot!!!!! Oh my dears there is finally, finally Cookie Butter/ Biscoff in Canada!!!!

Lately I’ve been in this crazy food obsession faze.  I have been basically eating the same things everyday and loving it.  Every morning it’s oatmeal, cinnamon, cardamom, honey and banana with a splash of milk.  It’s so warm and tasty.  I see the yogurt and fruit and think maybe I should change it up, but I just can’t.  I am oatmeal addicted.

At the end of every month Little Miss’s preschool has a party day.  For the first 1/2 hour of class the parents all sit in rows and the kids come up all lined up.  They sing about what they have learned about in the past month.  Last month they learned about dinosaurs and George Seurat.  And my shy, quiet little girl was singing louder than all of the other kids.

Sunday morning started around 6:30 am for me.  I got up and grabbed my carefully chosen race clothes that I had laid out the night before.  I came downstairs got myself some water and Fruit Loops (breakfast of champions) and looked outside.  The rain looked to be holding off but I wasn’t sure for how long.  I laced up my running shoes and walked out the door, filled with nervous energy.

Happy Halloween!!! My kids are so fricken excited for today. Every time Little Mister sees anything Halloween he yells “haaoweeenn”. Little Miss has been asking every day for the last week “Is Halloween after tonight?”. I finally got to tell her yes. She is dressing up like Cinderella and Little Mister is going to be Buzz Lightyear from his all time fav movies ever, Toy Story.
