Since today is Friday and my the last day of my first mini blog series I thought we should do a little something for the grown ups. I was lucky enough to receive a copy of Poptails: 60 Boozy Treats Served on a Stick
by Erin Nichols. It’s a book with 60 Boozy Treats served on a stick. This is the kinda book I can get behind, especially this week.

I’m doing a guest post today over on Blog is the New Black.

I had never heard of a blackout cake before, have you?  Well let me tell you about it , it’s a chocolate layer cake covered in chocolate pudding.  Let me just repeat that incase you misread me the first time, chocolate cake and chocolate pudding, together.  I figured since Valentine’s Day was coming up they called for liquor.

So this is my Baileys Blackout Cupcakes, a chocolate cupcake filled with Baileys irish cream chocolate pudding and topped with Baileys chocolate buttercream.

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday.  The kids and I were spoiled rotten.  I got an iPad which was totally unexpected.  I almost cried.  Ya I’m kinda a loser like that. lol.  Little Miss has been sick since Christmas night so I’ve just been sitting with her on my lap.  She seems to be doing way better today which makes me super excited. –keep reading
