Oreo Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies
31 Jan
I’ve been hoarding a package of Oreo’s in the cupboard for months. I knew that if I opened them with no specific recipe in mind they would be gone before I could make anything.
Then the idea hit me. I wanted those oreo stuffed cookies I’ve seen everywhere. I had a friend coming over with her 2 twin two year old boys and thought perfect. I won’t be left alone with a tray of warm gooey chocolate chip cookies with an entire Oreo stuffed inside.

Being alone with these is dangerous. I mean just look at them.
For the chocolate chip recipe I used this recipe as a base.
VERDICT
These are not for the faint of heart. They are huge. You bite in and the cookie is soft and studded with lots of dark chocolate chips and then you get the wafer taste of the Oreo and lastly the best part the Oreo icing. To say these cookies are great is an understatement. Everyone that’s tried one LOVED them.
Recipe – 12 palm sized cookies
12 oreos
1 c butter – cut into pieces
2 1/4 c all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1/4 c granulated sugar
1 1/4 c packed light brown sugar
1 egg + 1 egg yolk – room temp
2 tbs milk – room temp
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1 bag dark chocolate chips
Preheat your oven to 375 F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set oven rack to the middle position.
In a medium sauce pan or in a frying pan melt your butter.
In a medium bowl mix flour, baking soda and salt together. Set aside.
In the bowl of a standing mixer fitted with the paddle attachment place melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla. Mix until well combined.
Add in your eggs and milk, scrape down the bowl and mix.
Slowly pour in your flour mixture. Mix until no big lumps remain. Fold in chocolate.
Take 1 tbs of cookie dough and swish it on the bottom of an Oreo and then take another swish it on the top. Make sure to surround the entire Oreo with cookie dough.
Bake for 10-14 minutes until the edges are crispy, the middles is just about set. When you touch the centre it will give a little resistance but not be hard.

Enjoy!

Hell yes! This is my kinda of cookies. One of my favorites stuffed into another one of my favorites! I am dying to eat one…
I need to make these cookies! I’d love for you to share them on my linky, Crazy Sweet Tuesday!
This is chocolatey from the inside to the outside. I can’t wait to try this out
Thank you for sharing this recipe.
I love this! I’ve been seeing this for awhile now, but I haven’t tried yet…I would feel so guilty just eating one! Can you take the semi-homemade route and use premade cookie dough? Will the cookies still be puffy?
Hi Kat, I’ve never used the chocolate chip premade cookie dough before so I’m not sure. The recipe I used is super easy, like 1 bowl easy. You can totally do it without the mixer. No matter how you make them you should do it just once. Just make sure you have people to share them with.
We featured this recipe in a National Chocolate Chip Day blog post we just wrote up. You can check it our here –
